Welcome to the Balmain Sailing Club

The Balmain Sailing Club is a friendly community-based sailing club with active training, racing, cruising and social programs. The emphasis is on fun; providing friendly competition in a social atmosphere.

Located at Balmain close to historic Cockatoo Island and the upper reaches of Sydney Harbour, we are a short sail to the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Our close proximity to these famous landmarks makes sailing at BSC a memorable experience.

Everyone is welcome at our club, with a proud history and association with Sydney Harbour since the middle of the 19th century and Sydney's maritime and working harbour traditions. Whether you are looking at learning to sail, race competitively, come cruising -- or simply hold a function on Sydney's beautiful harbour foreshore -- come and visit our friendly, relaxed club and see it for yourself.
