All yachts participating in Balmain Sailing Club racing (including the Balmain Regatta) must comply with Category 7 safety equipment requirements. Please ensure you have completed the YA Cat 7 check list and it has been checked by a qualified auditor to ensure the eligibility of your boat to race and the safety of your crew. You can download a copy of the Category 7 checklist from the link below. Print this out, fill in the relevant details (including ticking off all the requirements) and then have it checked by an auditor.
Prior to the Summer Series and Twilight Series, the club runs safety audit days. Auditors can also make themselves available to members for inspections outside these safety days; please check with our Safety Officer for times when auditors would be available.
